Once upon a time I was friends with a Robo hamster whose name was Chibi. He had a little coconut house my friends made for him in his cage. There was a hole in the top of the coconut and Chibi really liked to just put his nose through the hole. We loved watching him as much as he liked doing it!
If you decide to adopt this hamster, you might consider a similar housing situation.
